Comic Con Northern Ireland 2026 - Celebrities and Cosplay

Comic Con in Northern Ireland 2026, where Monopoly Events hosted cosplay and celebrities at the Eikon Conference Centre, near Belfast.  Also, competitions, games, comic book stalls, signings, celebrity selfies, wrestling and a ton of other things too.  I attended both days at the weekend, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2026 and had a super time.  Unfortunately, I chilled out a bit more than usual this year as Monopoly Events wouldn't send me a press pass, so I had to pay to get into the event, which obviously pissed me off a great deal!

The organisers hold conventions like this throughout the UK (United Kingdom).  The next one is Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September 2027.  These events are great for families and kids, with plenty to do throughout the day, so parents needn't worry. It's always best to pre-pay for tickets as it can get quite busy.

WHERE IS COMIC CON LOCATED and how to get there?

It is located at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, and the address is Balmoral Park, Halftown Rd, Lisburn BT27 5RF.

No need to worry about transport; there are plenty of trains to Lisburn, where the event is held, as well as buses and taxis to and from the venue.  There are various ways to get to Belfast.  You can take the train to Lisburn and then the shuttle bus to Eikon Exhibition Centre.  As far as I know, there are buses to and from the Eikon Centre throughout the day.  I would make a note of the times.  You can also get the bus from Belfast, then the shuttle bus; it's probably cheaper to just get the train.

FUN FOR ALL AGES AND NOT JUST KIDS!

It's great to see parents bringing their families, kids and children.  There are plenty of things for young children and kids to do.  Some celebrities are aimed at children and young teens, as older parents might not even know who they are.  Some of the cosplayers are dressed up as their favourite cartoons or characters.

Comic-Con on Saturday, 19th September 2026

The Aliens cast conducted signings with attendees and then held a Q&A (question-and-answer) session, answering questions from the speakers and attendees.

COSPLAY

Cosplayers dress up as their favourite character from a work of fiction, such as a movie, TV show, video game, comic book, or book.  Below is a small collection of cosplayers.  Popular ones seem to be Star Wars and Doctor Who.  Enjoy!

Comic-Con on Sunday, 20th September

I also attended on Sunday, and to make this day a bit different from the previous one, I explored the traders much more.  There was a wide variety, from artists to sculptures.  These were located in the Logan Hall.  I attended some wrestling and the Battlestar Galactica Q&A (question and answer) session.
