Things to do in Craigavon Photos and Video
There is alot that might interest you and your family. The area has many places of interest, and here are just some photos and videos. This might be interesting for people living in Craigavon, who might have missed something, an annual event, maybe you used to live in the area, or you are someone who plans to visit the area. There are many tourist attractions in Craigavon.
Halloween Fireworks
The Halloween fireworks display at Craigavon Lakes is just in front of the South Lake Leisure Centre. Craigavon Borough Council put on a great display this year. It could have been one of the best in Northern Ireland, and I attended this with the Focus Photography Club on Thursday, 31st October 2024.
Kinnego Marina Photos
Oxford Island Nature Reserve in Craigavon includes Kinnego Marina, which is beside the cafe, and further down towards the open water at the Oxford Island Discovery Centre, where it is quite a bit windier. Kinnego Marina is located close to the car park and caravan park when you drive or walk through the entrance of Oxford Island. It’s a great spot as this is where the boats are located, the cafe and the kids' play area too. It is also great for dog walkers.

The marina is beautiful to photograph in because it is such a unique place to visit. I'm a photographer and videographer and have visited the place many times over the years, both with my Nikon Z6 and iPhone smartphone. Each time you see something a bit different, which is great for photos or video. Sadly, you can't get down the pier to photograph the boats unless you know someone who owns or rents a boat, as it's locked up.
South Lake Leisure Centre Pictures
South Lake Leisure Centre is at Craigavon Lakes and is the new leisure development by the ABC council. Plenty to do here for the kids and family, no questions about it. Some of the photos show the new swimming pool, as I got a quick photo through the windows. South Lake Leisure was built just before COVID-19 hit, so it was turned into a County Armagh Vaccination Centre during that time. The centre has a swimming pool and a gym as well as other fitness suites and rooms. Besides the main pool, there is a splash pool for the kids.

You're obviously not allowed to photograph in the centre, but there are plenty of places around the centre, including Craigavon Lakes, to photograph. Plenty of wildlife on offer, so you'll need a zoom lens to get those photos. Why not walk the kids and family around the lakes?
