Comic Con 2025


Comic Con in 2025, hosted by Monopoly Events, featuring cosplay, celebrities, signings, competitions, games, stalls, wrestling and a ton more. No need to worry about transport, as there are plenty of trains, where the event is held, as well as buses and taxis to and from.  The organisers hold conventions like this throughout the UK (United Kingdom).  The next one is Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2026.  These events are great for families and kids, with plenty to do throughout the day, so parents needn't worry. It's always best to pre-pay for tickets as it can get quite busy.  Philip Exploring copyrights and everything on this website. Comic Con 2025 on Sunday

Philip attended the 2025 event on Sunday, 7th September, at the venue, located about a 20-minute drive from Belfast.  I'm not sure you would call this a sci-fi convention, but rather a pop culture event. 

Fun for Ages and not just kids!

It's great to see parents bringing their families, kids and children.  There are plenty of things for young children and kids to do here.  Some celebrities are aimed at children and young teens, as older parents might not even know who they are.  Some of the cosplayers are dressed up as their favourite cartoon or comic book character.

Philip attended the event on Saturday, 6th September (the same date every year, I believe), on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, mostly in portrait mode, with some landscape clips in cinematic mode at 4k. I'm not sure this is strictly a sci-fi convention, but rather a pop culture event.  Ricky Tomlinson and Ralf Little were the celebrities at the Q&A.


I arrived at about 9 or 10 am on a dull morning.  The first thing I did was take a walk around the main hall.  Some of the celebrities were there doing signings at their tables, so I took a slow walk along. Celebrities like Ricky Tomlinson were doing selfies with fans.  Tony Robinson was doing the Q&A later that day.  I went back to do another celebrity walk-along.  Wrestling was great fun, and it broke up the day very well.

Cosplay Competitions

On Saturday, I filmed Tony Robinson from the BBC comedy series Blackadder doing the Q&A (question and answer) session, where he took questions from the speaker and also the attendees.  Afterwards, there was the cosplay competition, which was jolly good fun.  There was an assortment of cosplayers of all ages!

Comic Con on Saturday

Tony Robinson from the BBC comedy series Blackadder conducted the Q&A (question-and-answer) session, where he answered questions from both the speaker and the attendees.  Afterwards, there was the cosplay competition, which was jolly good fun.  There was an assortment of cosplayers of all ages, mostly young, though!  A lot of pictures were behind-the-scenes.

I'm a first-timer at a cosplay-type event or convention.  Cosplay is when cosplayers dress up as their favourite character from a work of fiction, for example, from a movie, TV show, video game, comic book or book. I'm just a tad too old for this myself!  Below is a small collection of cosplayers.  People lined up as their favourite characters for the cosplay competition.

Here is a selection of cosplayers.  Popular cosplays seem to be Star Wars and Doctor Who.  Some of the cosplays were made by The Eye of Harmoni, which is a Whovian cosplay group and along with Cosmos Cosplay Group, they had the prop table display with the Tardis.  Click on a thumbnail to view full screen.  Enjoy.
